WRITING A VARIETY OF TEXTS

A: FILLING IN FORMS
In our life we do a lot of activities. We fill in forms at different places such as hospitals, banks, schools and other places. We do that by writing down a variety of our details.
THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE AND WHEN FILLING IN FORMS
i.            Read and understand the instructions, if you do not understand the instruction seek assistance from the nearby attendant.
ii.          Write neatly and clearly.
iii.        Use symbols and abbreviations which are common.
iv.         Be brief because the space is limited.
v.           Give correct information – never give information which is not true.
vi.         Sign the form if you are required to do so.
vii.       It is better to print the letters clearly for legibility.

B: WRITING THINGS IN A DIARY
A diary is a book with spaces for each day of the year in which one keeps a daily records of events and experience. A good number of people record events, plans, observations and appointments in their diaries. A diary helps one to remember what happened and what is going to happen.
